SRINAGAR: The provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Business Rules which were applicable to erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir will apply to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for transaction of government business, Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has directed.
An official statement issued here said that the Lieutenant Governor, issued the order, in exercise of the powers conferred to him under section 55 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.
Any reference to the Governor and Chief Minister in the business rules shall be construed as reference to Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The order issued by General Administration Department (GAD) is deemed to have come into force on October 31, 2019.
