SRINAGAR: Kashmir Chamber of Industry and Commerce (KCCI) has urged the authorities to immediately release the Chairman of Kashmir Traders and Manufacture federation (KTMF) Mohammad Yasin Khan whose mother passed away Thursday.
Khan is under detention in a jail outside Jammu and Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370 on August 5.
Sheikh Ashiq, President of KCCI urged the authorities to release him immediately so that he could attend the Fateha Khawani of his mother.
Ashiq said that it was quite painful that Khan could not shoulder the coffin or attend the last rites of her mother.
The Chamber also extended its heartfelt condolences to Khan and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
