Srinagar: Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh on Wednesday said that a sizeable number of militants have managed to sneak into Kashmir Valley since August. Their number, however, cannot be known, he added
“A bit of infiltration by militants has taken place,” Singh told reporters. “We feel the number is sizeable. But I don’t see the number that big to make us worried. Process is on to bring their number down.”
“The infiltration attempts are up these days, but many of them have been foiled. Now we see ceasefire violation in Rajouri, Poonch, Samba, Hiranagar, Karnah, Uri ,Machil , Gurez and Keran every day, which is being done by them by them to push in militants to Kashmir,” Singh added.
