Darbar Move: Travel allowance increased to Rs 25000

SRINAGAR: Governor Satya Pal Malik has directed for enhancing the travel allowance (TA) of Darbar Move employees to Rs 25000 from the current
15000.
An official statement issued here said that the decision was taken in view of the persistent requests of employees associations and as a welfare
measure for the employees.
The decision will take effect from October-2019 for which Finance department would be issuing necessary orders shortly, the statement said.
Malik made the directions at a situation-cum-security review meeting on Monday with Advisors and Chief Secretary.
The Governor wished that all employees would be benefitted by enhancement in their emoluments following the formation of Union Territories.
The Governor was informed that a few departments such as GAD, Home, Information Technology, Information, Hospitality & Protocol, etc. would be
functional in Srinagar upto 31st October 2019 in view of the formation of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh from that day.
Malik was also briefed about the recent developments, including resumption of postpaid mobile phone services and recent grenade and IED attacks by
militants meant to disturb the normal life.
