J&K Bank opens new business unit, ATM at TalliMorh

SRINAGAR: J&K Bank Monday commissioned a new Business Unit (BU) along with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at village TalliMorh in R S Pura near the International Border.
“The bank’s Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) R K Chhibber inaugurated the new BU and the on-site ATM in presence of its president Arun Gandotra, vice presidents Sudhir Gupta, Shareesh
Sharma and Sushil Kumar Gupta,” the statement said.
Chhibber said, “We feel elated to dedicate our new business unit and ATM to the residents of TalliMorh and the adjoining areas on the auspicious occasion of Mahanavmi. This place which is also
known as the rice bowl of Jammu region is famous producing the best quality Basmati rice that is savoured not only in the country but across the world. We trust that commissioning of this new
branch will further transform the socioeconomic condition of the inhabitants through effective financial intermediation.”
Urging the people of the area to avail various schemes of the bank, tailored for farmers, unemployed educated youth and people engaged in different business activities of trade and services, the
CMD said, “Our bank remains committed to empower not only individuals but the communities irrespective of their location and status within J&K and beyond.We believe in engendering visibly
positive change in the lives of people by transforming the financial landscape of the societies we operate in, thereby providing a wider choice of tailor-made products, services and better access to
different socioeconomic groups.”
Highlighting the Bank’s special scheme for rice mills, he urged the people to avail it to their benefit.
“After the inaugural ceremony, the CMD held an interactive session with the customers and the local businessmen inside the premises of the new Business Unit,” the statement said.
