KEA calls for Kashmir Bandh 

Srinagar: The Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), a conglomerate of trade unions on Thursday  announced to observe April 6 (today)  as a ‘black day’ against the recent civilian killings in Shopian and Kangan.

Addressing a press Conference here in a local Hotel, KEA delegation including M. Yousuf Chapri, Farooq Ahmad Dar, M. Sidiq Ronga and Tasaduk Lavay, condemned the recent  killings  in Kashmir.

Demanding that the killings should stop immediately, the trade body called for a Kashmir bandh today.

They also demanded that government should initiate a dialogue process with all the stakeholders including Pakistan, the separatists to end the bloodshed in Kashmir.

KEA while calling upon the trade fraternity to ensure a complete bandh said that they welcome the tourists to Kashmir as from centuries Kashmiris have been safeguarding and providing exemplary hospitality to the visitors.
