Handwara: A driver got seriously injured after  the vehicle he was driving met with an accident on Baramulla-Handwara National Highway at Udipora Kralgund.

Official reports confirmed that a Maruti vehicle bearing registration number JK05F- 9988 met with an accident in Handwara outskirts after some youth pelted stones his vehicle due to which the driver lost control on speed.

Reports added that two persons including driver of vehicle were seriously injured in the accident,  however both were rushed to local hospital for advanced treatment.

Meanwhile police in this regard has registered a case and further investigation has been taken up.

It is pertinent to mention here that few passengers were also injured in Sopore outskirts after protestors pelted stones on a vehicle bearing no. JK01D-5011 in which they were traveling at Wadoora area of Sopore.
