Yasin Malik detained in Srinagar

Srinagar: Apprehending demonstrations against militant and civilian killings in Shopian yesterday, authorities on Monday detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Yasin Malik in Srinagar during wee hours on Monday.

“A large posse of police arrived at Malik’s Maisuma residence early morning and detained him”, a party spokesperson said.

Pertinently, twenty people including thirteen militants , four civilians and three army men were killed in three encounters in Anantnag and Shopian villages yesterday.
