Srinagar: Maqbool Sahil, a prominent author and journalist, passed away on Tuesday evening in Srinagar.

Reports said, Sahil fell while walking in Lal Bazar area of the city. People rushed to the spot and found him dead.

A prolific writer, poet, photographer and journalist Sahil was an author of many books.

He was currently working as a senior editor with Kashmir Parcham and Buland Kashmir.
