Srinagar: Principal Government Degree, College Srinagar has appealed the agitating students of the College to join classes forthwith.

“Till all the allegations and counter allegations are proved, the students should join their concerned department and report to Dr. Syed Zameer, Associate Professor (Department of Orthodontics) for their academic curriculum and patient work,” he said.

However, the students said they are not resuming the work till their demands are not met.

The students are demanding immediate removal of Head of the Department, Orthodontics, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq, who allegedly has been harassing the students mentally as well as physically.

“We have been asked to do such things before, and nothing really was done,” students said, adding “we have rested our faith on the inquiry that has been ordered, we are waiting for the govt actions now.”

Notably, the government had ordered an inquiry into the matter, the report which reportedly has been submitted to the government.
