Shopian: A 33-year-old woman was killed after hit by a speedy vehicle (tipper) in a village at Shopian area of south Kashmir on Tuesday.
A police officer said that the woman Ulfat (33) wife of Showkat Ahmad Wani, a resident of Tarkawangam was injured critically after being hit by the tipper (bearing registration no JK04-1291) Tuesday afternoon.
“Soon after the mishap, the locals of the area took the woman to a nearby hospital where she was declared as brought dead on arrival,” he said.
“A case was registered in this regard and further investigations were taken up,” the officer said.
