CRPF trooper commits suicide in Srinagar camp

Srinagar: In yet another suicide case a paramilitary CRPF trooper allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle at a camp in this summer capital of the state on Saturday, reports said.

Reports said that the trooper identified as Sukhdev of 79 battalion committed suicide at his camp in Sonwar Srinagar.

The gunshot attracted the attention of his colleagues who rushed to find Sukhdev in pool of blood, sources said.

Pertinently, it is third such incident in the last week. During the last week, two Indian army soldiers committed suicide in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
