Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted between protesters and government forces in Gojwara, Hawal and Nowhatta area of old city Srinagar on Monday as a fallout to the killing of six youth in south Kashmir’s Shopian.
Reports said that the youth blocked the road in these areas and did not let vehicular movement pass. Following this the government forces arrived on the spot which lead to clashes as the protesting youth pelted stones on them.
Clashes were going on when the last reports came in.
