Srinagar: Police on Monday arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik during a protest march against recent Shopian killings in Lal Chowk area.
According to the reports, JKLF chief tried to march from his Maisuma residence towards Lal Chowk to protest against the killing of five youth last night in Shopian.
Before arresting, Malik said that the current government is directly responsible for the mayhem in Shopian. He added that people should introspect before casting their votes in the elections.
Malik along with his dozens of his supporters were detained near Badshah Bridge a large posse of police and paramilitary forces .
