Jammu: Three alleged drug peddlers were held along with some quantity of heroin and poppy straw in separate operations here, police said today.
Amrik Singh, a resident of Kunjawani, was arrested after 15 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession in Gandhi Nagar area of the city, a police spokesman said.
Police also intercepted a motorcyclist, Sanjeev Kumar alias Munna , at Preet Nagar in Digiana and recovered three grams of heroin from him, the spokesman said.
In the third such operation, Sher Khan alias Bubble , was arrested after one kg of poppy straw was recovered from him at Jinder Maiullu in R S Pura area.
He was on a motorcycle when the police intercepted him, the spokesman said. PTI
