An Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu Kashmir Police was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally in Zainapora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian District.

Mohd Amir, a resident of Babapora  was posted as Sentry of Police station  when his service rifle suddenly went off and injuring his left leg, sources said. 

He was rushed to Srinagar hospital for treatment.

He added that he has been shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar & his condition is stable.
