Two shops, Horticulture building gutted in fire

Sopore: Two shops and a rented Horticulture building were damaged in a massive blaze that engulfed the building on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday in Choora locality in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

According to reports the fire broke out at around 3:30 am from the shop of Ali Mohammad Mir, son of Abdul Ahmad Mir which engulfed the nearby dental clinic and the second floor of the building which was on rent to Horticulture department.

Reports said that the fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.

Meanwhile, Police said that a case has been registered in this regard.

They said that an official of the Fire and Emergency Services, identified as Abdul Hamed Zargar received injuries while dousing the flames.

The building which caught on fire belongs to Latief Ahmed Lone, son of late Abdul karim Lone, resident of Choora.
