Anantnag: The district administration Anantnag on Saturday asked Army to vacate the camp immediately from the stadium land of Shamsipora Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district to avoid any law and order problem.

District Magistrate Anantnag in an order vide number DMA/PA/2017/1612-14 dated 20-01-2018 has asked the Army to vacate the camp immediate from the stadium land of Shamsipora Bijbehara.

The order issued to the commandant 2nd RR reads, “Reportedly your unit is installing camp at sports stadium Shamsipora Tehsil Anantnag. The general public is vehemently opposed to installation of the camp at Shamsipora stadium on the plea that the stadium is surrounded by the villages who will face various kinds of inconveniences.”

It further reads that there is every apprehension of law and order problem in the area. “Therefore, to avoid such a situation you are requested to vacate the camp immediately from the stadium land of Shamsipora,” the order reads.
