Jammu: Following protests by the opposition in the legislative assembly over the murder of 8-year-old Kathua girl, Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
Earlier today the opposition members created furore in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly demanding a magisterial probe in Kuthua incident.
As soon as House started proceedings on Friday, opposition members staged protest and also demanded action against police for its failure to trace the minor girl whose body was found on Wednesday after remaining missing for a week.
Responding to the opposition, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs informed the House that government will hold magisterial into the murder.
“The concerned deputy commissioner will conduct the inquiry,” he said.
