Govt frames District Level Task Force to monitor e-PDS

Jammu: Government has constituted District Level Task Force to implement end to end computerization and installation of Point of Sale devices under e-PDS project in the districts.

On the direction of Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Tribal Affairs, the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs has issued an order in this regard according sanction to constitution of these task forces for implementation of end to end computerization of TPDS Operations (Supply Chain Management and Installation of PoS machines in the districts.

According to the order, the District Level Task Force (DLTF) has been assigned the job of implementation of Supply Chain Management and Installation of PoS devices under e-PDS project in respective districts.

These task forces have been formed for Anantnag, Budgam, Bandipora, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kargil, Kulgam, Kupwara, Leh, Pulwama, Shopian, Srinagar South, Srinagar North, Directorate level Kashmir, Jammu Rural, Jammu Rural II, Jammu City Circle-I, Jammu City Circle-II, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Ramban, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch.

Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, in a communication, expressed satisfaction over successful implementation of ePDS adding that PoS machine will bring revolution in the Public Distribution System of Jammu and Kashmir.
