JKBOSE declares class 12 results

 

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Thursday declared the results of class 12th examination with 61.44 percent pass percentage.

Girls have outshined boys by securing overall pass percentage of 64.31percent while as the 58.92 percent boys cleared the examination.

According to figures provided by JK Board of School Education (BOSE) as many as 55163 students—29331 boys and 25832 girls from all the disciplines—had appeared in the examination. Of these, 33893 students qualified the examination.

“The overall pass percentage is 61.44 percent. The qualified students include 17281boys and 16612 girls,” the figures revealed.

The first position in science stream has been bagged by Muhtashim Rafiqi of Burn Hall Secondary School Srinagar who scored 494 (98.8%) marks out of 500, followed by Faheem Rashid from the same school who secured 2nd position by scoring 491 (98.2%) marks. The 3rd position has been bagged by Sabiya Syeed of SRM Welkin Higher Secondary School Sopore. She has scored 490 (98%) marks in her exams.

Durdana Masoodi from government higher secondary school Baramulla has got first position in Arts stream by scoring 487 (97%) marks in her examination. Munazah Shafi of Kothi Bagh higher secondary school (HSS) and Madeeha Khan of Green Valley educational institute (GVEI) Srinagar have got 2nd and 3rdpositions by scoring 484 (96.8%) and 483 (96.6%) marks in exams.

The first position in commerce stream has been shared by six students and scored 485 (97%) marks. These include Afreen Nazir of Islamia HSS Rajouri kadal, Farisa and Mehreen Hilal of GVEI Srinagar. Sehrish Nafiz, Tabish Noor and Zaira Bashir of government HSS Nawakadal Srinagar have also secured first position.

Arafat Baktoo of Kashmir Harvard, Habbak and Seeba Malik of GVEI have got second position by scoring 483 (96%) marks.

Nisha Jan of HSS Anantnag, Shifa Hanief of HSS Amira Kadal and Tabish Qadir of HSS (Girls) Budgam has bagged 3rd position. They have scored 479 (95.8) marks in exams.

A total of 3776 students- Boys 2900 and Girls 876 appeared in Commerce stream out of which 2686- Boys 1961 and Girls 726 qualified the exams. The pass percentage of in Commerce stream is 71 percent.

The first position in Home Science stream has been bagged by Iqra Rashid of Kothi Bagh higher secondary school and has scored 480(96%) marks. Also, Aazima Noor and Fiza Jan of government girls higher secondary school Anantnag have got 2nd and 3rd positions by scoring 465 (93%) and 443 (8.6%) marks respectively.

As many as 17230 students- Boys 9528 and Girls 7702 have got reappear in their exams.
