Jammu: Emphasizing expeditious completion of all development works to extend timely benefit to the people, Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga today exhorted upon the officers to keep a close and constant monitoring on the works and ensure that quality norms are strictly adhered to while executing the development projects.
“The government is working on the agenda of development and is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps, especially in rural and far off areas”, the Minister asserted.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating blacktopping works of one kilometre long road at village Kotli to be constructed by Rural Development Department at the cost of Rs. 28 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the development of rural and far off pockets is the top priority of the government. He asked the executing agency to work day in and day out for completing the work at the earliest.
“The government is creating adequate infrastructure including better road connectivity to provide better facilities to the deprived and unattended areas,” the Minister said, adding, focused attention is being accorded to creation of long lasting infrastructure in all essential sectors to enhance the use of public utilities.
