Pulwama: Arif Malik, brother of former Lashker commander Pintoo Malik was kidnapped by unknown gunmen yesterday evening from his shop.

Family sources said that Arif Malik, younger brother of Pintoo Malik and son of late Gh Hassan Malik resident of Litter Pulwama was kidnapped from his shop yesterday evening around 8 pm. He was later found after few hours near his residence.

They added that he was referred to district hospital Pulwama from where he has been shifted to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

Pertinently, two militants Waseem Shah and Nisar Ahmad of Lashkar outfit were killed in his house during the encounter on October 14.

Duty officer Lassipora Sarfaraz Ahmad confirmed the incident and added that his condition is stable.
