NRHM employees stage protest in Srinagar

Srinagar: Employees of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) staged a protest here in Pratap Park Lal Chowk against the government on Thursday for neglecting their demand for regularisation.

The protesting employees demanded that they should also be included in the recent list of 60, 000 employees who are to be regularized.

Pertinently Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday announced that it will regularize 60,000 daily wagers and casual labourers.

However, NRHM employees did not figure in the said list, a protester claimed.

Hundreds of employees from different districts, including doctors, paramedical staff, technicians of the health department who are working on a contractual basis under National Rural Health Mission reached Srinagar  Lal Chowk, shouting slogans of justice.
