DAK seeks regularization of NHM employees

Srinagar: President Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK), Dr Suhail Naik today on Thursday in a statement issued here demanded  regularization of all the National Health Mission (NHM) employees in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, who have completed seven or more years of service as contractual staff.

“The authorities must form a committee of officers comprising of Director General Indian Society of Medicine (ISM), Director Health Services, Director Family Welfare, representatives from Planning, Finance, etc who shall examine the issue in detail and put up a proposal on war footing basis in front of state government, so that a policy for their regularization can be framed”, Dr Naik added.

“Meanwhile government shall hike the salary of NHM employees at par with regular employees, as it is already a standing supreme court ruling  that employees must get equal salary  for equal work . Furthermore NHM  employees working in far flung rural areas must be entitled for Rural service reservation”,Dr Naik further added.

DAK urged the Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state,Ms Mehbooba Mufti to intervene in the matter so that the justice is served.
