Srinagar: Srinagar police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four drug peddlers and recovered huge amount of contraband substances from their possession.
A spokesman of police said that a police party of Police Station Batamaloo apprehended four persons namely Ajaz Ahmad Khan resident of Diyarwani Batamaloo, Yasir Ahmad Pindoo resident of Firdousabad Batamaloo, Abid Shakeel Mir resident of Dal Hassanyaar Habakadal and Majeed Iqbal Khan resident of Baranpather Batamaloo Srinagar at present Sebdan Budgam.
He said that 1215 bottles of codeine phosphate was recovered from their possession.
Srinagar police has registered a case and investigation was taken up, he added.
