Srinagar: Body of another missing soldier was found today by Army’s HAWS rescue team in Gurez sector of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.
Following avalanches and landslides’ six days ago on December 12, five army soldiers went missing at Gurez and Naugam sectors of Bandipora and Kupwara districts of north Kashmir. Till yesterday, bodies of two soldiers each at Gurez and Nowgam sectors were retrieved by HAWS.
Official sources said that body of one more trooper was today recovered at Gurez sector by HAWS. “Two other bodies are still missing. Efforts are on to retrieve them at Gurez and Nowgam respectively,” they said. The soldier whose body has been recovered today was identified as Lance Naik MN Prakmanik.
