Minister reviews implementation of CM’s commitments

Baramulla: Minister for Rural Development Panchayat Raj, Law and Justice, Abdul Haq Thursday chaired a meeting of officers here to review the progress on the implementation of Chief Minister’s commitments made by her during the Public Durbar organized here in the month of October.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, SSP Mir Imtiyaz Hussain, ADC Baramulla, Sopore, SEs, Exens, SDMs and other senior officers of the district.

On the Occasion, the DC informed the Minister that during the public Durbar, 197 decisions were taken for implementation by various departments including R&B, RDD, JKPCC, PHE, I&FC, and Education for which Rs 5.81 crore have been released, so far, on various developmental projects.

He said that out of total 197 decisions, some decisions have been fully implemented while the work on the remaining is going on.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized upon the officers to work with extra zeal and enthusiasm besides directed the concerned for early initiation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and other necessary formalities so that all the undertaken works are completed within stipulated time frame.

Stressing upon ensuring the availability of essentials to brace up for the current winter season, Abdul Haq directed all the district officers not to leave the headquarters without the prior permission of the Deputy Commissioner, adding that the move will help to address the public grievances in a time-bound manner.

Meanwhile, the Minister was apprised of various issues, hampering pace of various development works.  He assured that all the issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities so as to foster the mission of progress and development.
