Boy intending to join Zakir Musa group held: Police

Srinagar: Ganderbal police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a boy at Qamaria chowk of District Ganderbal intending to join Zakir Musa’s group (Ansar Gazwat ul hind).

A senior police official said that Ganderbal police arrested a boy (name withheld) resident of Rainawari area of Srinagar early Tuesday morning at Qamria chowk. The boy according to police was intending to join Zakir Musa’s newly formed militant group,  Ansar Gazwat-ul-Hind.

“The boy from Rainawari was in surveillance and being tracked as he was in contact with some Pakistani militants who are under survelliance and we knew his movement and nabbed him early today. He confessed that he intended to join Ansar Gazwat ul Hind” SSP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Ahmed Lone KPS said.

He said that acting on a tip off Ganderbal police intercepted the boy who belongs from Rainawari Srinagar and was in touch with a Pakistani militants on social media sites and later on confessed he was going to join a militant group namely “ANSAR GAZWAT-UL-HIND”. After counseling, the boy was handed over to his parents.

SSP Ganderbal appealed to the parents that it is the duty of every parent to watch the activities of their children and also take proper care of them to keep their children away from such type of evils, who are brain washing our children.
