Pulwama: Following a cordon and search operation in Naira village, clashes have erupted in Trichal village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday after youth pelted the government forces with stones.

Reports said that soon after the forces started the search operation , youth took to streets and pelted stones on the vehicles carrying government forces near Naira village.

Earlier in the day, forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Naira and Tahab villages.

The search operation was started after inputs about the presence of militants in these areas.

Clashes and searches were going on when the last reports came in.
