Govt schools being strengthened through modern infrastructure: Dy CM

Kathua:  Reiterating the commitment towards equipping government educational institutions with modern infrastructure and technological interventions, DyCM, Dr. Nirmal Singh said that well trained and qualified human resources are being be provided in these institutions to enable students match present education scenario.

“The Government is working under a well knit plan to provide quality education to students living along the length and breadth of the state”, the Dy CM said this while addressing a gathering after inaugurating newly constructed infrastructure of various schools at Mooni, Nagrota Gujroo and Ramkot of Billawar.

“Revamping educational sector through optimal use of existing infrastructure and human resources available in the State will help in harnessing talent among the students,” said Nirmal Singh adding that the present dispensation will provide state of the art environment for youth to become globally competitive.

Highlighting various works initiated under education sector in Billawar, Dy CM said that these works amounting Rs. 8 crore will bring about significant change in overall education scenario of the area. He further said that in Malhar zone 5 additional class rooms have been sanctioned for 32 Middle Schools whereas compound walls have been approved for 17 schools.

Dy CM asked the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Billawar to ensure speedy disposal off issues of people as enough powers have been vested upon him in this regard. He said that more powers will be given to the office so that people don`t have to go to Kathua District Headquarter for mitigation of their matters. He also directed CEO Kathua to create awareness among the students that they can get their PRC issued from the office of ADC. Similar instructions were also passed to the BMO regarding the issuance of disability certificates.

At Government High School Mooni, the Dy CM directed the CEO to provide Public Address System to the school besides he announced 5 Computers and 1 Hand Pump for the school. He further directed the school administration to provide 2 sets of uniforms to every student of the school.

A “Swachhta Pledge” was also administered on the occasion at GHSS, Nagrota Gujroo necessitating the significance of maintaining cleanliness in and around our surroundings.

Later, the Dy CM kick started blacktopping on a road from Ramkote to Mudaal costing Rs. 81.21 Lakh.      

ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, ACD Kathua, Rajiv Khajuria, CEO Kathua, Balbir Singh, SDPO, Engineers, Tehsildars, BDOs and prominent citizens in large numbers were present on the occasion.
