Dir Agri, V-C SKUAST visit Spice Park Pampore

Pampore: Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi and Vice-Chancellor, Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) Kashmir, Professor Nazeer Ahmad visited Spice Park Pampore to review the pace of completion work on different sections of the park.

The park is getting is getting developed at an estimated cost of 37.8 crore under National Mission on Saffron.

The visiting dignitaries were informed that the spice park project is one of the best in Asian subcontinent and it will help to revive the saffron trade in the state. It was further revealed that after its completion it will not only provide all the necessary mandated facilities to the Saffron farmers, but it will also generate the avenues of the employment for the unemployed youth of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture Kashmir asked all the concerned to strictly follow the deadline so that it can be completed in given timeframe.

Earlier, Director Agriculture attended “Saffron Field Day” function, organized by SKUAST-K in collaboration with Agriculture Production Department under National Mission on saffron and participated in an interactive session with the saffron farmers.
