Stop becoming New Delhi’s proxy: Er Rasheed to Dr Farooq

Srinagar: Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh Monday accused former chief minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah of promoting New Delhi’s view point just to divert the attention from the real issue of Jammu and Kashmir. “Farooq Sahab must understand that maintaining status-quo is not any solution and Kashmiris have not made huge sacrifices just to maintain status-quo on both sides of LOC, but to get the right to self determination,” Er Rasheed said, as per the statement issued here.

He said that rather daring Modi to hoist a tri-color in Srinagar, Dr Farooq who all along his life has propagated strongly India’s view point on Kashmir can advice Modi to hold a plebiscite on both the sides of LOC so that Farooq who often claims to be more Indian than the Indians can vigorously campaign and motivate people to vote for India in the plebiscite and Modi Ji’s dream of hoisting tri-color in Muzaffar abad and Mirpur will be fulfilled.

MLA Langate accused that National Conference (NC) is making hue and cry about ‘Azad Kashmir’ being part of Pakistan only to strengthen India’s view point on the overall dispute, as those expecting PAK to be India’s part some day without succeeding in doing so through plebiscite, are living in fool’s paradise.

He asked Farooq Abdullah to “stop becoming New Delhi proxy and acting like a puppet on the dictate of his masters just to avoid an honorable settlement to the dispute of J&K and to ensure that huge sacrifices do not go waste by implementing Dr. Farooq’s stupid status-quo theory.”
