Srinagar: As part of its drive to curb the drug menace and its circulation among the youth, Budgam police today apprehended a drug peddler with eight bottles of Corex in Mazhama area of Budgam.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, a police party from Police Post Narbal apprehended one person namely Rameez Raja son of Mohammed Yousuf resident of Pattan at Mazhama near railway bridge.
During search of the said person 08 bottles of Corex (cough syrup) were seized from his possession, he said.
A Case FIR No 159/2017 under section 8/22 was registered in Police Post Narbal and investigation was taken up.
