Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have recovered a minor girl who had gone missing from her home Uttar Pradesh.
The girl has been reunited with her family in Uttar Pradesh, a police official said.
He said that police party of Police Station women handed over a 13 year old girl named Komal alias Pinki resident of Kumarganj Faizabad Uttar Pradesh to the police party from Police Station Kumarganj.
“The said girl was recovered in Srinagar and was not able to tell anything except her name. It was only after strenuous efforts of Women Cell Rambagh Srinagar that her whereabouts were traced and concerned Police Station was informed” police said.
Pertinently, a case FIR No. 307/2017 under section 363 IPC was registered in this regard in Police Station Kumarganj in Uttar Pradesh. She was handed over to the police party of Police Station Kumarganj after completing all legal formalities.
