Kulgam: Amid high pitch pro freedom and pro Islam slogans thousands of people gathered at Budroo in Yaripora to pay homage to the slain militant Muzammil Dar.

Men, women and children in large numbers from different areas of South Kashmir gathered and took part in last rites of Muzamil, eye witnesses said.

Later thousands of people participated in the funeral of the slain militant who was killed in a gunfight in Kund Qazigund on Tuesday.

Witnesses said that several militants also converged at the spot and after the funeral prayers they offered gun salute to their slain colleague.

Witnesses added that more than three rounds of funeral prayers were held before Muzammil was finally laid to rest.

Pertinently, Muzammil was a B-tech degree holder and was active from last three years.
