Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government today suspended the mobile internet services in the districts of Anantnag and Kulgam following twin gunfights at Nowbug Kund area of Qazigund in district Anantnag and Laam, Tral area of Awantipora in district Pulwama.           

The gunfights erupted on Tuesday morning at both the places. As per preliminary reports, two to three Jaish militants are believed to be trapped in the Lam village in Tral sub-district.

Heavy exchange of firing was going on when the last reports came in.

Meanwhile, an encounter between militants & government forces was also going on at Kund Qazigund area of  South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

According to preliminary reports, two Hizbul Mujahedin militants are believed to be trapped.
