Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Thursday paid tributes to Shariq Ahmad Bakhshi on his martyrdom day today.

While paying homage to Bakshi, JKLF as per the statement issued here said that Shariq was one of the brave sons of soil who embraced martyrdom at a tender age for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir.

JKLF said that Shariq belonged to a family that has rendered valuable sacrifices for the freedom and thus he inherited braveness from his mother’s lap.

While praying for his heavenly abode, JKLF also prayed for other martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kashmir.

JKLF leaders and activists including Vice Chairman Showakat Ahmad Bakhshi, general secretary Engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Showkat Ahamd Dar along with Ghulam Ahmad Bakhshi (father of martyr Shariq) participated in a condolence meeting at Burzalla martyrs graveyard, held in connection with the martyrdom day of Shariq Ahmad Bakhshi.

Tributes were paid to Shariq and others on the occasion.
