Srinagar: Government forces on Monday evening launched a Cordon and search operation in Mehmoodabad village of Dooru tehsil in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Official sources said that forces launched search operation after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Sources said that heavy deployment of forces has been made in the area.

Search operation was going on when reports last came in

Earlier today, government forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation in Nazneenpora and Pashpora villages of south Kashmir’s Shopian  district.

However , the operation at both the places ended without any positive results for the government forces.
