Govt forms committee to look into modalities for setting up Industrial Estates

Srinagar: The state government Thursday constituted a committee headed by Chief Secretary to work out the operational modalities for the exchange of land from Industrial Estate at Ompora, Budgam with the land of Forest Department for the establishment of Industrial Estates at Shalteng.

Administrative Secretary Industries and Commerce and Administrative Secretary, Forest, Environment and Ecology Departments will be the Members of the Committee.

The Managing Director, State Forest Corporation, and the Managing Director J&K SIDCO Ltd. shall jointly prepare a draft proposal containing all requisite details of the land proposed to be exchanged and place the same before the Committee through the Administrative Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department.

The order reads that based on the report of the Committee, the Industries and Commerce Department will place the proposal before the Chief Minister for consideration and approval.
