Srinagar: Expressing serious concern over the total failure of the Government to check mysterious braid chopping incidents, Chairman, PDF and MLA, Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has said that the situation has given rise to Law and Order crisis in nook and corner of the Kashmir valley.
He said unabated braid chopping incidents in various parts of the valley have created insecurity and outrage among the people.
In a statement issued here, Hakeem Yaseen while ridiculing the PDP led coalition Government for its failure to unearth mystery behind the braid chopping incidents, has alleged that it seems whole intelligence and security set up has collapsed in the valley and the culprits behind the inhuman act are roaming scot free.
He said continued incidents of braid chopping was an assault on the respect of the womanhood adding that the Government has failed to restore sense of security and confidence among the fear gripped people.
He said under these circumstances the Government has lost the right to be in place.
“It is most unfortunate and shameful that our sisters and daughters are scared to move out of their homes for routine work. The onus lies on the Government to clear the dust on the mystery of braid chopping to restore confidence of the people on the rule of law,” Hakeem Yaseen added.
He has appealed all sections of the society to rise above personal affiliations and jointly take off against the scourge of braid chopping which has put the honour of our mothers and sisters at stake.
“We should not make it a political issue but together work to unfold the sinister game plan behind this heinous act against the woman folk,” Hakeem observed. He has also called upon the local Masjid and Mohalla committees to deal with the situation maturely in their vicinity so that anti national and anti peace elements may not take un due benefit of the prevailing restive situation.
Hakeem Yaseen has demanded effective measures on war footing basis to un fold the mystery of braid chopping so that the real culprits are brought to book.
