Woman among two killed in road mishaps

 

Srinagar: A woman was among the two persons who got killed in various road mishaps across Kashmir Valley.

Police sources said that a woman died while her son was seriously injured in a road accident on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Galander area of Pampore Thursday morning.

Reports said that a Tipper bearing registration number JK01L-8023 hit a motorcyclist near Galandar.

In the accident the motorcyclist Abid Ahmad Khan and his mother Shaheena wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, residents of Kandizal Kakapora suffered injuries.

Both the injured were rushed to SDH Pampore in critical condition where doctors declared Shaheena brought dead.

In another incident an elderly man died afternoon  after he fell from a moving tractor in Gamraz village of Tral area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources said that 55 year old Bashir Ahmad Ganaie S/O Abdul Aziz Ganaie resident of Gamraz Village, fell down from the tractor and got seriously injured.

Sources added that he was rushed to the  nearby hospital however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

A 30 year old youth was injured when his (Pulsar) bike bearing registration number JK03E 7939 bike met with an accident in Anantnag’s Mattan area.

The injured identified as Bilal Ahmad Sheikh son of Gulam Mohamad Sheikh is a resident of Bradpora, Khundru.

Bilal Ahmad who suffered a head injuries have been shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment.
