Following a braid chopping incident early morning today, intense clashes have erupted in Rambagh area of Srinagar.
A woman’s braid was chopped off by unknown persons in Rambagh area of Srinagar early morning today.
Soon after the incident, youth took to streets and blocked the road, hampering the movement of traffic.
Consequently, Police swung into action and lobbed several teargas shells to chase away the protesters, triggering clashes.
Pertinently, massive clashes had erupted yesterday in Maisuma area of the city after a woman’s braid was cut.
There have been over 100 incidents of braid chopping in the Valley during last one month.
