Srinagar: Protests erupted in the Batamaloo area after fresh braid chopping incident was reported from the area, reports said.

According to the reports, braid chopping incident was reported at SD colony Batamalloo in Srinagar. They said that the residents of Batamallo took to streets to protest the braid-chopping of a pregnant lady this morning at 9 am.

The lady was hospitalised following the braid-cutting.

Meanwhile, Protest was going on in the area when this report was filed. Meanwhile, police have reached the spot to investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, protests erupted in Maisuma area of the city against the incidents of braid chopping across Kashmir. Women in Maisuma took to the roads to protest against government’s failure to nab the culprits. Protests were going on when this report was filed.
