Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Chairman and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen Monday castigated the PDP-BJP government for its failure to check mysterious braid chopping incidents in various parts of the Valley.

In a statement issued here, he said government has no right to be in place as it has utterly failed to remove fear among the people especially woman folk due to braid chopping incidents.

 Hakeem has termed braid chopping incidents in various parts of the Kashmir valley as ‘an insult to the respect of the womanhood’.

He said increasing braid chopping incidents have put dignity of the sacred women at stake, which is totally unacceptable and unbearable.

“It was most unfortunate and shameful that a sinister game plan has been leashed against our sisters and daughters who are scared to move out of their homes for routine work,” MLA Khansahib said.

 Hakeem Yaseen has said that the increasing incidents of braid chopping in various parts of the valley have put a question mark on the credibility of the present Government adding that the prevailing situation has upset the peace of mind of the people of Kashmir valley especially woman folk.

“One fails to understand why the government is acting like mute spectator despite having a huge police and intelligence apparatus in its hands,” Hakeem questioned, adding that the finger of suspicion directly points towards the government for the episode for reasons known to it.

 Expressing serious concern over the continuous incidents of Braid Chopping, Hakeem Yaseen has said that the government has utterly failed to un earth mystery behind such ugly and shameful incidents.

He said the present Government has bitterly failed to provide a safe and secure atmosphere to the people of the state adding that the fresh spell of mysterious braid chopping incidents have added to the woes of the already security scared people of the valley.

He said the present coalition Government has no right to be in place as it has failed to protect life and property of the people from the anti national elements and has also failed to come up to their expectations.

 Hakeem Yaseen has demanded effective measures on war footing basis to identity the culprits behind braid chopping incidents and to punish them.
