Following a fresh braid chopping incident in Batamaloo last evening, scores of women Monday took a protest march towards Batamaloo busstand in Srinagar.
Scores of women protesters from the interiors of Batamaloo including Danderkha and its neighbourhood tried to march towards Batamaloo bus stand. However, police and other forces deployed there resorted to teargas shelling to disperse them.
Pertinently, an alleged braid chopping incident was reported from the area last evening.
