Legislator Rasheed to return Kashmir after NIA questioning

Srinagar: Legislator Er Rasheed was Friday allowed to return home after four days of questioning by the National Investigation Agency at its headquarters in New Delhi.

“…..have been allowed to leave for home just now after four days of questioning by NIA in Delhi,” Rashid said.  He said that NIA has asked him to submit the details of his property and bank statements next week.

Rashid was questioned for four days in alleged terror funding case by the federal agency.

Pertinently, the NIA on May 30 had registered a case alleging that Kashmiri resistance groups receive findings. Till date it has summoned more than a dozen people including resistance leaders, activists, a photojournalist, a Kashmir University Scholar and business leaders.

Meanwhile, Rasheed said that he had nothing to hide from the NIA.
