Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh complimented the government forces for retaliating the fidayeen attack and killing the three militants involved in storming a BSF camp in Budgam area of Kashmir Valley.
Pertinently, following the attack, Rajnath Singh had called a high level meeting to review the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
“I have spoken to the DG CRPF and DG BSF. It was a good operation that they have conducted,” he told reporters in New Delhi.
The Union home minister said one Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of the BSF has been killed and two others were injured but they were out of danger.
A group of militants early morning launched a suicide attack on a BSF camp near the Srinagar Airport, killing the ASI and leaving four security personnel injured on Wednesday.
The operation ended after all the three militants were killed during the encounter.
