Protesters blocked Srinagar-Gulmarg highway in Magam town of central Kashmir against the braid chopping incident.
According to the police sources, two unidentified criminals who were posing as beggars entered into the house of Munir Hussain at Mulbushan village in Magam area of Budgam district.
The criminals besides chopping off her braid snatched a gold chain of a pregnant lady in who was alone at her home at the time, police said.
“They sprayed some chemicals on her face as a result she lost conscience. The criminals also stole her golden chain and managed to flee from the spot,” police added.
Meanwhile, the protesters demand that action be taken against the persons involved in the incident.
