Karvan-e-Aman bus leaves to cross over to PaK

The weekly Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-adminstered Kashmir (PaK), left here this day morning to cross over to the other side of Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector despite shelling from Pakistan in which a boy was killed and five others injured in Poonch on Monday morning.
The bus left from here in the morning for Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC despite fresh shelling by Pakistani troops in Shahpore sector in Poonch in which nine-year-old Irfan Ahmad was killed and five others were injured early morning.
The bus, carrying four Kashmiris and eight PaK returnees has since reached Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC), Uri, official sources told a news gathering agency.
They said the exact number of passengers travelling to other side of LoC in the bus will be known only in the afternoon.
Similarly, the number of those travelling from PoK will also be known in the evening, they said. (Agencies)
